Merumatta and WIKA Realty Hold CSR Activity at Senggigi Beach as Part of the Merumatta Half Marathon 2024

Merumatta and PT Wijaya Karya Realty ("WIKA Realty") demonstrated their commitment to environmental preservation by holding a Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL/CSR) activity. This event, which was part of the Merumatta Half Marathon 2024 series, included a clean-up of Senggigi Beach and the release of sea turtle hatchlings (tukik) on Saturday, December 7th. The activity involved the hotel team, WIKA Realty representatives, and local communities including Lombok Ocean Care, Velo Girls, and the Rotary Club.

The beach clean-up operation was aimed at maintaining the natural beauty of Senggigi Beach and protecting the marine ecosystem from the impact of waste. Mr. Kukuh Ariadi, President Director of [PT Senggigi Pratama Internasional (SPI), the hotel operator], affirmed, "Merumatta not only seeks to be a part of Lombok as a tourist destination but also actively supports its environmental sustainability. This CSR activity is Merumatta's tangible commitment to ecological conservation." Furthermore, the activity also featured the release of sea turtle hatchlings into the sea, symbolizing the conservation efforts for this protected species.

Objective: To protect the ecosystem and raise awareness of the importance of environmental preservation, particularly in leading tourist areas such as Senggigi. Through this initiative, Merumatta and WIKA Realty hope to provide a sustainable contribution to the natural preservation of Lombok.
