WIKA Environment Hub as a form of WIKA and WIKA Realty's commitment in supporting environmental sustainability

Banten, 12 October 2022 - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) together with all its subsidiaries, including PT Wijaya Karya Realty (WIKA Realty) carried out Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activities in Tanjung Burung Village, Teluk Naga, Tangerang as one of WIKA's BUMDES (Village-Owned Enterprises) mentors. Through this WIKA Environment Hub program, WIKA and  WIKA Realty carry out waste management activities by building Maggot Houses to utilize organizational waste and WinMax as environmentally friendly electric vehicles.

Kyriad Airport Jakarta Hotel is located not far from the BUMDES location and is one of the WIKA Realty hotels that cooperates in building a Maggot House to manage organic waste (hotel food waste) and waste banks. The management of organic waste is not only used as a decomposer of ogranic waste and fertilizer but can be used as a feeding material for maggots that have economic value, namely the high protein content in maggots can be used as good animal feed.

Furthermore, WIKA also handed over WinMax, which is a three-wheeled version of GESITS as an environmentally friendly electric vehicle to transport waste from Kyriad Airport Hotel to Tanjung Burung Waste Bank. With this WinMax, Tanjung Burung Bank Sampah is the first electric motor user to transport waste.
