Commitment to Environmental Sustainability, WIKA Realty and WIKA Group Hold “Pari Island Circular Waste Initiative” CSR Program in Thousand Islands

Jakarta, August 6, 2026 — PT Wijaya Karya Realty (WIKA Realty), in collaboration with WIKA Group, organized a Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL/CSR) program titled "Pari Island Circular Waste Initiative." This collaborative program, focusing on circular economy-based waste management, was held on Thursday (08/06) on Pari Island, Thousand Islands, Jakarta.
The event was attended by the Regent of Thousand Islands, Mr. Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan, the management of WIKA Group, stakeholder representatives, local residents, and students from SMP Satu Atap Pulau Pari. The series of events commenced with waste education and sorting sessions targeting students to cultivate environmental awareness from an early age. This was followed by the handover of aid from WIKA Group, including a Recycling House (Rumah Daur Ulang) and black soldier fly (maggot) cultivation facilities to SMP Satu Atap Pulau Pari, a plastic shredding facility to support the operations of the local waste bank on Pari Island, and gazebo (saung) facilities for tourism development. The agenda continued with a visit to Kresek Beach for a mangrove planting conservation initiative.
Corporate Secretary of WIKA Realty, Saskia Ayu Megananda, expressed the company's care and commitment to the future of coastal environments. "We hope this CSR initiative serves as a tangible step toward achieving sustainable waste management through waste management education, cross-sectoral Waste Bank development, and the beautification of Kresek Beach. May this program bring lasting benefits to the people of Pari Island, creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment," she stated.
This program serves as an encouragement for the island's residents to enhance their understanding of waste sorting, circular economy practices, and the preservation of the coastal ecosystem where they live.
As part of the company's CSR implementation, this initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 14 (Life Below Water), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through this activity, WIKA Realty together with WIKA Group reaffirms its commitment to continuously delivering sustainable social and environmental programs that provide tangible benefits to local communities and the surrounding environment.
