WIKA Realty Participates in Planting a Total of 3,500 Mangroves with WIKA Group, Potentially Absorbing 28 Tons of Carbon Emissions per Year

Banten, December 4, 2025 — In commemoration of World Tree Planting Day, observed on November 21, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (“WIKA”), together with all of its subsidiaries, including PT Wijaya Karya Realty (“WIKA Realty”), collaborated with Lindungi Hutan to carry out a mangrove planting initiative titled “Greening the Coast, Saving the Earth.” A total of 3,500 mangrove seedlings were planted across two locations: 1,000 seedlings at Ketapang Mangrove Park, Banten, and 2,500 seedlings at Mangunharjo Beach, Semarang.

The planting activity in Banten was attended by Hadjar Seti Adji, Director of Human Capital Management and Transformation of WIKA; Yoppi Priatmoko, Director of Finance, Human Capital, and Risk Management of WIKA Realty; as well as members of WIKA Group’s management.

In his remarks, Hadjar Seti Adji emphasized that this initiative represents tangible proof of WIKA Group’s commitment to ESG principles. “This mangrove planting activity is an implementation of the Environmental pillar, while also strengthening the Social pillar through contributions to local communities. This initiative demonstrates a measurable and accountable application of ESG,” he stated. On the same occasion, all WIKA Group entities also signed a Joint Commitment Charter on Environmental Preservation and Greening, as a form of strengthening governance and ensuring consistency in sustainability implementation.

Yoppi Priatmoko highlighted that this planting initiative aligns with WIKA Realty’s ESG priorities, which focus on environmental programs that deliver tangible and measurable impact. Based on guidelines from the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and the IPCC, each Rhizophora mangrove tree is able to absorb an average of 8 kgCO₂e per year; therefore, the 3,500 seedlings planted have the potential to absorb approximately 28 tons of CO₂e annually.

Through this contribution, WIKA and WIKA Realty not only support climate change mitigation efforts, but also reinforce their commitment as companies that actively work toward creating a greener, more resilient, and sustainable future.
